This episode features more of L and the Kira investigative team.  While Light's father is in the hospital recovering from a heart attack (A natural one, at that), a seedier news stations starts playing tapes that it claims are from Kira.  When people that simply spoke out against Kira start dying, it should be rather obvious that this is not the real Kira, and L's perceptiveness serves him well. 

Episode 11

Entrance

Light doesn't do much of anything in this episode.  Indeed, much of this episode revolves around a news broadcast, L, and the Kira investigative team.  Despite the loss of one of the precious members of the investigative team, through the heroics of Light's father, they are able to secure the tapes the TV station had received.  

L seriously disapproves of this new Kira as he has been killing innocents.  L understands that the Kira they have been chasing only kept to hardened criminals and people that have been chasing him.  Light can't help but be amused by all of this, though he is worried about the new Kira revealing information about the Death Note to the police.  

The new Kira?  "He" is apparently a she named Misa who has gotten access to another Death Note and wants to meet the real Kira.  Well, Misa, you indeed have his attention!
